Hello everyone. Thanks for surfing around my site. I figured I would post a little information
about myself for those who don't know me or simply might be interested:
- My wife and I live in the metro Atlanta, GA area.
- Yes, I'm native to Georgia and no, I do not have the typical "southern drawl".
- I have a B.S. degree in Applied Mathematics.
- I have a career background as a UNIX developer for Delta Air Lines (Delta Technology), centric to
Revenue Management.
- I also worked for InterContinental Hotels Group (they own Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Candlewood Suites, Staybridge Suites, and of course InterContinental) in their Global Revenue
Management department as a Statistical Analyst for the Operations Research team.
- Recently, I worked as a UNIX Developer and Operations Manager for a very small company called DirectoryNET where
I wrote and maintained C, Perl, and shell code running on AIX and FreeBSD hardware utilizing
MySQL and SQL Server databases to provide "people" information for companies large and small.
- And these days, I work as a Senior Technical Specialist for JDA Software; a software company that
provides Demand and Supply Chain software products as well as Revenue Management software packages for
services industries all over the world, ranging from passenger air and rail transportation,
cargo transportation, media outlets, television networks, and hotel chains.
- For fun, I enjoy the outdoors greatly, especially hiking up in the North Georgia area.
I like scenic photography, love geocaching (more about that on my Links page),
enjoy software development – especially of the Unix/Linux variety, love science fiction/fantasy novels
along with thriller/espionage novels, and yes – I still love a good game of D&D.
