Back by Popular Demand…

A little birdie told me that I needed to change the picture I have up on my "Contact Information" page. So, back by popular demand…my mug is back up for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy!

Congratulations Barack Obama!

Now I am no card carrying Democrat and I also do not carry a "red" card in my pocket either! In fact, I vote for the candidate I think is the best fit regardless of the party they belong to. I do not see the point in towing a "party line" when the candidate just does not connect with my view. After all, that is what a democracy is all about, right?

So it is that for the first time in 8 years, I voted for the winning candidate!! It does feel good to be "Cleaning up" the White House as I am definitely one of the 72% that very much disapprove of dear old GW, and honestly have since the beginning. But, more importantly, it feels good to be a part of history and to be doing my part in trying to change this country and the way it has been perceived across the World (especially over the last 8 years).

Now don't get me wrong, I think John McCain is a real class act – but in this election, all I heard from him up until his concession speech was how unqualified and "green" Obama is. Sorry, just not interested in that kind of campaigning. However, I did think that his concession speech was one of the classiest moments in politics that I can remember in a long time, so for that – I give him great praise.

But back to my posts header – congratulations to Barack Obama! Your real work begins now…stand and deliver, or make way for the next President. It is time for change, you talked the talk – I helped vote you in – now walk the walk.

The A–Team Falls
11.04.2008

Well, as you can see from my Fantasy Football ticker, I came up short this week against the AzzKikers. Going into Monday night, I only needed 9 fantasy points from my QB, Jason Campbell. Unfortunately, he was stacked up against the Steel Curtain and they definitely kept Campbell contained – allowing him to gather a mere 6 fantasy points for me.

So I fall to a record of 4 wins, 5 losses thus far this year – putting me behind last years pace. It looks like my road to being a repeat Fantasy Football champion may very well be in peril. I'm hoping for a good turnaround this week though as I stack up against the Alpharetta Avengers. My season may very well hinge on this weeks turnout, so stay tuned!
